IMF表示新兴经济体外汇储备投资多元化是理性举动

    国际货币基金组织总裁(International Monetary Fund,简称IMF)总裁罗德里戈.拉托(Rodrigo De Rato)周六表示,对于中国将部分外汇储备委托一家美国私人资本运营公司管理的报导他并不感到担忧。

    据近期媒体报导,中国将成立的国家外汇投资公司已经将30亿美元交付给Blackstone Group(BGP.XX)进行投资。

    在八国集团(Group of Eight,简称G8)财政部长会议新闻发布会的间隙,拉托表示,他对中国此举可能对美元以及美国国债可能产生的影响并不感到担忧。

    拉托称,拥有巨额外汇储备的新兴经济体使其投资多元化是理性举动,这种情况目前在其它地方也有,没有必要对中国的举动大惊小怪。

    他补充称,对于拥有巨额外汇储备的国家来说,外汇市场稳定尤为符合它们的利益。

    中国目前规模高达1.2万亿美元的外汇储备主要投资于美国国债。中国政府在今年3月份时表示,将建立一家国家外汇投资公司,从外汇储备中拿出一部分,进行盈利性更强的投资。

    虽然中国政府尚未宣布该外汇投资公司的细节,但经济学家表示,中国可能会拨给该公司2,000亿美元至4,000亿美元用来投资。
