一周升值0.49%科威特驱钱入市防炒作第纳尔

    继一周前放弃科威特第纳尔盯住美元的货币政策后，科威特央行又暂停一项回笼商业银行短期资金的措施，把更多的第纳尔“驱赶”到银行间市场，防止投机客炒作科威特第纳尔。

    科威特央行一名不愿意透露姓名的官员表示，科威特央行上周日起暂停吸收商业银行存放到央行的为期1月的存款，即所谓“干预利率”(intervention rate)政策。这位官员表示，干预利率再次启用的时间，将“另行通知”。科威特央行并没有解释为何作此决定。

    干预利率是科威特央行回笼商业银行短期第纳尔资金的主要措施。暂停使用这一措施，可使科威特央行将自己置身市场之外，从而迫使商业银行自行交易短期资金，因此打压了第纳尔的需求，以防投资者从第纳尔兑美元的升值中获益。根据科威特央行的数据，上周日银行间拆借利率从上周六的5.2500%下跌到5.1875%。

    由于最近几年美元不断贬值，拖累科威特第纳尔兑其他货币贬值，给科威特造成很大的通胀压力。5月20日科威特央行宣布放弃了科威特第纳尔盯住美元的汇率政策，转为盯住一篮子货币政策，成为海湾合作委员会6个成员国中惟一放弃盯住美元汇率的国家。

    在过去的一周，科威特第纳尔兑美元不断走高，累计升值0.49%。
