美元需大幅下挫以缓解贸易赤字问题

   全美经济研究所(National Bureau of Economic Research，NBER)30日称，美元需要进一步大幅下挫，以缓解美国贸易赤字过高的问题。

    该研究所所长Martin Feldstein称，顺利调整全球及美国失衡最好的途径即为美元大幅下滑。在此之后，美国应大幅提高储蓄利率，同时其他国家也需采取相应的激励性财政政策。

    近年来，美元兑欧元、英镑等主要货币的汇率稳步下滑，但兑日圆和人民币的汇率则依然上升。对此，Feldstein认为，美国持高不下的贸易赤字表明，美元汇率下跌的幅度还不够。

    2006年美国的贸易赤字为7650亿美元，年比上升了500亿美元。

    Feldstein表示，贸易赤字的本质在于美国低下的储蓄利率和高水平的投资。
