美联储前主席表示:次贷危机应归咎于低利率政策

    美联储前主席沃克尔日前表示,资产价格泡沫膨胀应归咎于美联储的纵容,并称现任主席贝南克处境艰难。

    沃克尔于1979-1987年间任美联储主席,之後由格林斯潘接任。分析人士认为,楼市泡沫的膨胀应归咎于格林斯潘在任期最後几年中推行的超低利率政策,当时美联储将隔夜联邦基金利率调低至1%,并维持了很长一段时间。
