重疾险保单首现"择优理赔"书面批注

    总部在上海的国泰人寿首度把“择优理赔”批注写入重疾险保单，这是重疾险标准定义公布后，国内保险企业首家公开承诺并以书面方式确定“择优理赔”内容的公司。

    本报记者在所获得的一份由国泰人寿向重疾险保单客户发出的书面通知中看到，该公司表示，已决定对先前已购买重大疾病保险产品的保户提供“择优理赔”服务，对重大疾病保险合同中所约定的16种重大疾病的疾病种类保持不变，对其中14种重大疾病的定义同时采用条款与《重大疾病保险的疾病定义使用规范》双重标准(余下2种疾病在《使用规范》中没有规定)，理赔时适用最宽松、最利于保户的重大疾病定义。

    同时，该公司还在该通知中以书面的形式提醒到，现在投保的重大疾病保险已享有“择优理赔”服务，并且可以保单批注方式注明“择优理赔”内容。该公司相关负责人表示，这一过程并不会给保户产生任何新的费用。

    中国保险行业协会与中国医师协会于日前共同制定了《重大疾病保险的疾病定义使用规范》，对重大疾病保险产品中最常见的疾病表述予以统一，要求自今年8月1日起保险公司新销售的重大疾病保险产品的疾病定义应依照《使用规范》执行。
