中国正兴起保险中介上市潮 有助于提升专业化服务

    听闻中国正兴起保险中介上市潮，潘穆利并不感到意外。在他看来，国际资本投资中国保险中介并酝酿上市，是国内保险中介市场发展的一个印证。

    “中国保险公司的发展催热了保险中介这个行业，2001年中国的保险经纪公司不到20家，如今已经超过了300家。”潘穆利说。

    既然如此，那么已连续两年盈利的韦莱中国合资公司是否亦会考虑未来上市计划？潘穆利不假思索地回答，“由于韦莱集团已是一家上市公司，作为隶属于集团的中国公司，不可能考虑上市。”

    对于“尚处蹒跚学步的国内保险中介目前上市操之过急”的质疑，潘穆利说，由于不了解这些保险中介的具体情况，不宜作出评论。

    不过，他认为，“通过上市能为企业带来更多资本的同时，也能使企业为客户提供的服务提升一个台阶。”于2001年在美国纽约证券交易所上市的韦莱集团，如今市值已达约60亿美元。
