31个省区市已全部建立农村最低生活保障制度

    民政部副部长李立国31日接受中国政府网访谈时表示，截至今年6月底，全国31个省区市都已经建立了农村最低生活保障制度，覆盖了2068万人。

    李立国说，党的十六大提出了探索建立农村最低生活保障制度的要求，十六大以来，一些省、自治区和直辖市，按照本地经济发展水平和财力状况，陆续建立了农村最低生活保障制度。截至今年6月底，全国31个省区市都已经建立了农村最低生活保障制度，覆盖了2068万人。

    “正是在这样的工作基础上，党中央、国务院在去年12月召开中央农村经济工作会议上，提出了要在全国范围内建立农村低保制度。”李立国说。
