刘跃林:交通事故快速处理使理赔时间缩短

    中国保监会北京监管局局长助理刘跃林和北京市交管局事故处副处长肖伟明于10月10日就《机动车交通事故快速处理办法》的主要内容及实施过程中广大交通参与者关心的热点问题进行在线访谈。

    主持人：请刘局讲一下，和以前事故处理方式相比，老百姓具体能够得到哪些便利和好处？

    刘跃林：首先不用等警察了，出了交通事故，由事故双方当事人自行协商确定赔偿责任。第二，在理赔方面，简化了理赔流程，过去两辆车相撞，至少要到两家保险公司办理定损理赔手续，现在无论是全责的事故还是同等责任的事故，都只需要到一家保险公司办理定损即可。第三，简化了理赔手续，过去一些不重要的材料都已经简化统一，现在只剩下8项。此外，发生单方事故以后，让派出所、居委会开证明这一手续也通通简化了。通过交通事故快速处理，理赔时间大大缩短。
