太平人寿设立基金救助白血病儿童

    近日，太平人寿保险有限公司与中国红十字基金会正式签署协议，太平人寿承诺，客户每投保一件“太平阳光天使2007少儿保障计划”，公司即向红十字基金会“小天使基金”捐赠10元人民币，用于专项救助贫困白血病儿童，累计捐赠不少于100万元。双方同意，在条件成熟时，还将正式设立“小天使基金”项下的“太平人寿天使基金”。

    据太平人寿相关人士介绍，作为本次公益行动“媒介”的“太平阳光天使2007少儿保障计划”，是该公司一款使用新的重大疾病定义的少儿重大疾病保险，除了提供22种少儿重大疾病保障及人身保障外，更是在国内首次将儿童“白血病”作为特种疾病提供额外赔付责任。

    据介绍，近年来，因环境污染等原因，儿童白血病已成为威胁我国儿童健康的“第一杀手”，“小天使基金”是红基会倡导建立的我国第一个救助白血病儿童的专项基金，所募善款专项用于救助家庭贫困的白血病儿童。
